Mike Trout is a New Jersey native and his salary for 2020 is $36,000,000 from the Angels. That’s right $36 million. I understand the agent gets a piece of it but it doesn’t change how Trout look in this. A few days ago, he showed his generosity by treating the staff at Inspira Medical Center Elmer in New Jersey to a surprise. He bought them pizzas, sodas and cookies. What??? I don’t care what people say but someone that makes $36 million this year, this is a big let down. The twitter photos from his mom gives him a terrible look. We see 8 boxes of pizza and 4 2-liter of Pepsi and 1 box of cookies!! I put on Inspector Gadget raincoat and decide to look more into this luxurious meal. The pizza is from Pizza Hut and a large 3 toppings pizza was going for $9.99. The 2- litter soda is going for $2.99. Let’s just say the box of cookies was $10. I pull out my handy calculator and punched in the numbers. This is what I got….8 pizza x10.00= $80, 4 soda x $3=$12. 1 box of cookies 1x$10=$10. The total comes out to $102!!! $102 equals .00000283% of his $36 million dollar salary. To put into perspective…1% of his salary is $360,000. Trout looks absolutely terrible in this PR move. It makes him look super cheap. It would have been a better look if the table was full with like 100 pizzas, salads, bread sticks, cookies, sodas, ice creams and cakes. You telling me those 8 boxes of pizza was going to feed the whole medical center? Is more like you snooze, you lose and no more pizza for you. I want to be recognize for my generosity too if this is all it takes. I will be treating the fire department down my street to one bag of skittles. Please contact the media and tell the world.
