Cities everywhere are going to start opening up toward mid May. This is due to the pressure of people getting sick of being quarantine and facing financial pressures avalanching on them. There is a problem with rushing to reopen. The government is now projecting that new cases will increase by 200,000 per day by June 1. Holy mackerel!! If this projection turn out to be correct, we are talking about 1.4 million cases within a week!! The healthcare system will guarantee to collapse! Why is the government allowing states to start opening then?? I think the reason is that all these protesting around the country is ridiculous and will never stop unless they get smack right in the face by the virus. I think sometimes people need to be taught a hard lesson and then will believe that its better to be patience and quarantine. The government is saying lets open up the country, let the cases surge and let people see people really dying around them and then they will be convinced that quarantine is the best approach at the moment. The economy will return eventually but you only have 1 life to live. Is it worth it if you go out and enjoy your one day when cities open but then you will need to spend weeks in the hospital?? If you were smart, wait one week and see how many new cases pop up first. Let people that couldn’t wait be the guinea pigs.
