Day 13-Your fans need you…

There are 30 NBA teams, 30 MLB teams, 32 NFL teams and 31 NHL teams. All together there are 123 teams in the big 4 of American sports. Here is an idea…how about creating a Professional Sports Fund to help fight the virus. Here is my proposal. The top 2 players (not even the whole team) on each of these teams donate $1 million each. That comes out to 123 teams x2 players=$246 million. Other players can donate if they want. Let’s just work with $246 million. $246 million can do alot! Maybe they can use the $246 million to buy all n95 masks? Patriots plane brought home 1.2 million mask for around $2 million dollars. Let’s assume it cost around $1.75 per n95 mask wholesale including built in expenses like delivery charges, taxes, packaging etc.. The whole $246 million can buy the United States 140,571,428 ,masks!!!! This would be a BIG help to all the healthcare workers. They can also use all the money to buy ventilators. The point is that the money can do a lot toward helping our current situation with the coronavirus. $1 million dollar means absolutely nothing to the top 2 paying athletes on each of these teams. These athletes make more than that from just endorsement deals. Don’t these guys constantly thank the fans for supporting them or is it a bunch of just lip service?? Time to step up!! The same fans they are constantly thanking are now dying. No one can force these athletes to do anything but if these guys have even a shred of humanity they should do this. Some athletes are already helping and they deserve credit but a majority have no clue what is the right thing to do.

Below are what some athletes are making per year.

NBA Steph Curry – $37 million/year, Lebron James $35 million/year

MLB Mike Trout -$34 million/year, Gerrit Cole $36 million/year

NFL Russell Wilson-$35 million a year, Jared Goff $33 million/year
