The day after the video of George Floyd came out. I made a friendly wager with a friend of mine. I was putting up $20 dollars and I gave him 5-1 odds. If I win I get $20 and if he wins I would give him $100. The wager? I said within 3 days there would be rioting and looting in Minneapolis, MN. It was an easy win because it is becoming the norm that looting and rioting is going to happen. Hong Kong have a protest of 1 million people on the streets and there was no looting whatsover. Here in the US, we subscribe to the mentality of cutting off one’s nose to spite one’s face. Looters and rioters are burning and damaging the same town they live in. It is so stupid and makes no sense. This is how a conversation goes in a few weeks when things calm down.
woman: can you go get some milk down the street? .
man: ummm…I think we burned down the convenient store last week during the rioting.
woman: well, let’s go to the supermarket then.
man: ummm… me and my friends also torched it.
woman: ok……well, let’s go to McDonalds and grab some food. Don’t tell me that you guys burn it down too?!!!
man: ummm…good news!! What do you think I am stupid? We just ransacked the whole place and severely damage the building. They won’t reopen for another year.
